A hot sunny day and a burger on the beach was a welcome prelude to the two heavyweights of the music and rock photography Industry, discussing an exciting new collaboration that will continue Nick Elliott’s Rockumentary series.
As Nick’s Rockumentary projects with Earl Slick and Ed Graham draw to a close, Nick has found himself in the exciting and unique position to choose select individuals within the music industry to photographically document and continue his series of fine art photographic publications.
Great Yarmouth’s jewel in the crown, Jon Peach Is a singer songwriter who has carved an enviable and well respected career within the music industry. Writing and performing with ‘Pray for the Buffalo’ and ‘Junk Shop Poets, Jon has just completed his phenomenal solo project ‘Love Songs For Losers’, which was born out of his passion for beat poetry and storytelling love songs. The Rockumentary, taking approximately one year to capture, allows Nick to shadow Jon during shows, rehearsals, recordings and leisure time.“

During the production of the Rockumentary, there will be an opportunity for Nick to shoot some surprise guests that Jon will be working closely with over the next year.
“I think this project with Jon will turn out to be a fabulous body of work, plus I think we’ll have a real blast while working together over the next 12 months. Jon has a fantastic look and that is such a big part of the Rockumentary project’s that I do it’s going to make a fabulous book’!

Continuing after dark side of my mind Nick has followed up with an equally thought-provoking exploration of his personal experiences of loss.
“These images are an expression of my own experiences of personal loss. They are meant to disturb you, they’re meant to shock you, they are meant to upset you that’s what loss represents.

Nick has produced a collection of powerfully hard-hitting and disturbing images depicting his personal loss. Whilst dissecting his own feelings of loss through the years, Nick has pulled on all of his resources to create a groundbreaking, self expressive and visually shocking display of loss.
These images are like nothing ever before taken by Nick Elliott. There are a total contrast to his rock art photography, which invoke many personal emotions from the artist himself.
The self representation of these images is a total step away from anything Nick has created previously, and it takes him from the viewfinder to the front of the camera.
These images will be exhibited in selected galleries around London and Europe next year.

Over the past 18 months Nick has been exploring a revolutionary art project set to take the photographic fine art world by storm, with an innovational look into the dark side of his mind.

Nick is often asked about his personal experiences of working in the arts and entertainment industries and already shares many of these on social media.
Now, to give a further insight into what it’s like working as a rock photographer, he has launched his own blog: It’s Personal.
With audio and visual content of his life backstage, adventures shooting, and opinions of topical events, It’s Personal is an online diary that promises to build to be an intimate portrayal of what it’s like to be Nick.

New Website Live

Keeping up with recent developments in technology, Nick’s website has been redesigned with brand new features and interactive capabilities for viewing on all modern-day devices.
In addition to showcasing his online portfolio in a number of separate galleries and detailing his regular shows and exhibitions, it also introduces a new private client area.
An online store continues to offer visitors the chance to purchase fine art prints, books and bespoke furniture and, of course, there is a link back to the press office so clients can all keep up to date with the news.

Like Nick pushing the boundaries in the world of rock photography, his studio team has been working hard to reflect this in a brand new website to take him into a new era.

Nick’s The King in Lynn

Last week Nick was invited for an interview with journalist Eric Secker who was looking to produce a three page feature on Nick, his life as a rock photographer, and his work, for lifestyle publication King’s Lynn Magazine.
After a very interesting chat, Nick had the opportunity to view what a lovely town King’s Lynn is source some possible locations for future shoots on the Norfolk coast.
The interview will be published in the November edition of the magazine and, of course, we’ll share it with you shortly.
Nick’s Snap-book

Nick has been looking at producing a ‘snap-book’ of him working for some time so we’ve put together an electronic library of snaps we’ve taken of Nick over the years.
We’ll let Nick explain thoughts behind his project:
“For some time I’ve wanted to do a snap book, just a personal thing, the modern-day equivalent of the traditional photograph album.
“I was initially looking to record some reportage stuff myself but then thought it would be a good idea to include some shots from the archive that have been taken of me.
“It’s not ‘The Nick Elliott Self-Appreciation Society’, they’re just quick grabs taken on phones, compact cameras, so nothing serious really.
“It’s just a record and a bit of fun and I’m planning to update it now and again when the mood takes me.”
