We’re teaming up with High Voltage, Thin Lizzy and Planet Rock to offer an amazing opportunity to see what it’s like to be a professional rock photographer at a major music festival and receive a one-to-one tutorial in the photo pit from Nick.
You can win two VIP tickets to High Voltage, the chance to photograph Thin Lizzy before their Main Stage slot (with a little tutelage from Nick), a chance to watch Lizzy’s set from the photo pit where you’ll get the best possible view of the band in action (and obviously a chance to photograph them under Nick’s guidance) plus you’ll get a bundle of Thin Lizzy swag.

Cherry Good Indeed

Yesterday, Black Stone Cherry launched their third album, Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea, with a very special intimate acoustic performance for a few dozen Planet Rock listeners at the British Music Experience in London.
The band performed songs from their new album along with a handful of first and second album classics requested by the audience, including a remarkable performance of ‘Things My Father Said’ which the band re-learned live onstage after forgetting the chords.

Off The Record with Paul Rodgers

Nick was invited to shoot a VIP gig today when the legendary Paul Rodgers took part in the second Yamaha and Planet Rock Off The Record event.
Taking place at the beautiful Under The Bridge club in Chelsea, Paul played a four song acoustic set, showcasing songs from his time with Free, Bad Company and Queen in a stripped down acoustic format.
He also fielded questions from Planet Rok’s Nicky Horne and a select group of listeners who had been specially invited based on the strength of their questions.
