A rock experience in fine art

Last year we brought you news about agreeing to license the online sales of Nick’s fine art images to specialist music art and book publishers Red Label Publishing.

Provider of high quality, contemporary, limited edition, fine rock art to collect or lease, Red Label will be the exclusive online supplier for some brilliant new products featuring Nick’s work.

They are currently developing the new online gallery at: www.redlabelpublishing.com but in the meantime, you can check out the news as it develops on their blog at www.redlabelpublishing.co.uk.

More exciting news to come as it happens!

The tour of duty continues

The book tour continues into a new year and there have been some brilliant compliments received about it.

Although there are too many to share with you, here are a couple that we were particularly proud of….

“Having seen both the HardKase and the hardback edition of TEN, it’s clear that Nick and his team have put together a superb collection of images. The range of performers alone sets Nick apart from his contemporaries, and the quality of the images firmly seats him among the most proficient performance photographers of our time.” Jolyon Mason, Owner

“As usual Nick Elliott has put a high quality product together. From the flight case to the book itself, it feels quality. The Images capture feeling and intimate moments of an artist deep in to their performance.” John Allen, Owner

“A Decade In Images makes you look at the performers in a different way. In some ways, it finds the person behind the performance.  This is photography as an artform combined with music as a passion, a potent combination indeed.” Neil King, Editor, Fatea Magazine

The book draws you into the evocative world of black and white photography, capturing the intense moments of time and place occupied by the celebrated artist. The addition of colour creates a prismatic journey that encompasses the whole visual extravaganza. Kate Mason, Oakham

More news about the tour will be coming sortly.

Fated to speak to Fatea

Music magazine Fatea has been covering the Cambridge Folk Festival for 21 years and, for some of that time, Nick has shot images of the festival for the magazine.

So, it must have been fate that one day Nick would find himself the subject of an interview by Managing Editor Neil King…….http://tinyurl.com/3vdmw4q

Ten years in the making and the launch of TEN – A Decade In Images at the Cambridge Folk Festival finally arrived.

Nick was in demand for lots of media interviews including TV with BBC Look East, radio with  the likes of CMR Nashville and, of course, a number of music magazines.

Sales were rising by the minute and collectors had the opportunity to get their copy personalised by Nick in the official book signing.

BBC Presenter Mark Radcliffe checked out the printed version of the book he endorsed before Nick headed off to do more media interviews.

More Artists Praise TEN And Nick’s Images

Thanks to ex-Pulp member Richard Hawley and Cambridge Folk Festival star Bella Hardy for your fabulous quotes for TEN-A Decade In Images:

“Nick’s photographs capture a festival performance feeling which is so hard to put into words; it’s something primal, a feeling fuelled by adrenaline and fear and the way the crowd spurs you on.  It’s an honour to be included in his collection.” Bella Hardy

“Proof that I do set up my own equipment! I like this picture – when all the bullshits done with, it’s good to be shown for what I am; a guitarist first and foremost. It was a real privilege to be asked to appear at Cambridge; it has a great history so it’s lovely to be a small part of that. And the audience were amazing – it was a special day for me.” Richard Hawley

Only 18 days to go the book launch and counting.  If you’re yet to order your book, hot foot it down to publisher Rufus Stone now http://tinyurl.com/6gw5vn9
