After arriving in the beautiful Republic of Ireland yesterday for a commissioned shoot with the talented musicians, Simon Collins and Kelly Nordstrom, it was an early call time for Nick today.
After checking the location of the shoot yesterday evening, it was time to prep the photographic equipment this morning, in readiness for this much anticipated shoot.
But first, Simon Collins, son of Phil Collins introduced Nick to the Collins family before a truly welcoming Irish Breakfast to start the day off in style.
“Myself and the elliottstudios team could not have had a better welcome from Simon, his family and Kelly. Our accommodation is top drawer and I’m blown away with how kind everyone is here. After getting here we went to meet the guys at Simon’s studio and had a pretty pucker meal afterwards.” Nick Elliott
Andy Blithe is also accompanying Nick in Ireland to continue ‘The Story So Far” documentary, chronicling Nick’s life story and his unique talent for producing photographic fine art of mainstream musicians within the music industry.
“I’ve pre recced several additional locations this morning. The original location is stunning but the surrounding area is fantastic with so many other photographic opportunities that we are spoilt for choice. It’s absolutely wonderful. The weather is squally, but it will add to the atmospheric images that I’ve story boarded for the shoot. Definitely going to get a few face melting shots today”. Nick Elliott

Nick has packed his bag and is headed to the Emerald Isle today as his Irish Tour kicks off to a rather frisky start at Luton Airport.
Staff at Luton Airport took such a shine to Nick and his unique attire that they insisted that he take it all off going through customs, much to the amusement of the elliottstudios team.
Nick is being commissioned by Simon Collins to shoot his new album artwork and promo material at various locations around the Republic Of Ireland near the musicians hometown. Simon, the British-Canadian drummer and lead vocalist of the talented rock band Sound of Contact and son of Genesis drummer and singer Phil Collins, contacted Nick for this very special shoot.
Simon and his album collaborator, and fellow Sound of Contact band member, Kelly Nordstrom an award winning Canadian guitarist, will be the subjects of Nicks commissioned shoot, to the wonderful backdrop of the breathtaking and magical landscape of Ireland.
Simon and Kelly have forged a notable and award winning reputation within the music business and continue to work with many mainstream music artists, including Genesis.
Simon has been busy during the lockdown period producing his latest album which has had a cathartic effect on him. The album comes from Simons experiences of personal hardship and struggle during various life changing events, including his divorce and band break up.
Nick has taken his studio team with him, including Andy Blithe, to document the Irish Tour and contribute to the fly on the wall documentary, The Story So Far, documenting Nicks life, produced and directed by Andy. The duo will also be broadcasting live podcasts.
Nick and Andy will be meeting Simon and Kelly later tonight at Simons studio and home, then it’s all off for a well deserved meal and a Guinness or two
Shooting starts tomorrow. Keep your eyes peeled for live updates on nickelliott.info

Ask Nick Elliott……….anything.
Q1. Of all the things that you are involved in, what makes you the most excited? D. Penn Cornwall U.K.
A1. What makes me more excited than anything is to tick the boxes of a life long dream, which is to eventually release all the ideas and creative frustrations that have been pent up inside of me my whole life. The concepts that I have had in my head for years and to turn them into reality and make imagery from them that expresses how I felt. It’s the next chapter.
Q2. What do you do when you are not working? D. Forde Coventry U.K.
A2. I spend time with my partner, I like a good walk, watch classic British comedy, and some of the great classic Films, and I can always fit in a nap every now and again!
Q3. Out of all your projects, what was the steepest learning curve for you? A.Feliciano. Italy
A3. My Dark Art Projects have uncovered facets to me that I am still discovering about myself, so I suppose that has become my steepest learning curve. They released many pent up emotions, it felt like a personal unveiling, a liberating experience. Then taking all that emotion and actually producing art from those feelings, I found it so creative because I didn’t and still don’t care of the consequences.
Q4. If you could switch places with someone, who would it be? J.Bell NY USA
A4. David Bailey, without a doubt. He has led many lives in one lifetime and achieved so many great things.
Q5. In photography what is the most challenging image you have captured. I. Mkrtchuan. Sheffield U.K.
A5. My Dark Art was, and continues to be the most challenging of images that I have taken. Capturing my raw physical emotion in self portraits, its very difficult to bring that emotion to a visionary form that I feel portrays my message.

A fantastic turnout flocked to the Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft last week to enjoy the unique sound of Jon ‘love song loser’ Peach.
Jon was joined on stage by three other talented musicians to produce a thought provoking selection of superb alternative music with a twist of rock and a splash of the blues, shaken not stirred and served up in a chilled martini glass.
Peter Stopforth on lead/rhythm guitar, Dave Crowe on bass guitar and Paul Gillings, showcasing his superior harmonica skills, accompanied Jon to deliver a mesmerising performance crammed with original material. Jon’s enthralling and somber lyrical story telling is some of the best yet that he has produced.
Nick was there to capture the show, that was organised and promoted by Jon. Nick embraced the opportunity to effortlessly seize the essence of the evening via his distinct images, depicting the heartfelt performance that can almost be heard through his fine art.
Nick’s images will be added to the ever growing collection of Jon for his rockumentary project.
“First show in 2022, it was good to get back out with the gear and listen to some pucker live music.” Nick Elliott Rock Art Photographer

Nick gets invited to revisit his childhood secondary school in Stanground, Peterborough by the principal Gary Carlile of Stanground Academy.
Andy Blithe of a Aturn Films accompanied Nick to capture more footage for Nick’s documentary “ The Story So Far” due for cinematic release this year.
Gary kindly spent time showing Nick around the school and all of his old familiar stomping grounds. Nick shared many memories with Gary and the teaching staff as the party moved from class to class retracing many of Nick’s old steps.
A visit to the school’s pool where Nick swam every day during training for competitive swimming, was particularly poignant.
The visit was also captured by the Peterborough Telegraph’s Head photographer and personal friend of many years Dave Lowndes.
A huge thank you to all the staff and pupils at Stanground Academy for making us so welcome, it was a fantastic visit and it’s the only time I’ve been to school without getting lines or the cane!
What a wonderful day!
