2GO MAD SERIES 3!!

Recently, Nick and his partner-in-crime, award-winning filmmaker Andy Blithe completed the filming of the highly anticipated third series of 2GoMadinNorfolk. They were aided by Nick’s wonderful PA, Annie Brookes, who set up three brilliant interviews for them.

The first took place at Congham Hall Hotel, owned by Nicholas Dickinson. In addition to his role as a hotelier, Nicholas has an unusual pastime: he hosts the world snail racing competition. Nick and Andy were granted exclusive access to the legendary snail, conducting an interview as it munched slowly on lettuce, all under the watchful eye of Nicholas, who wanted to ensure the snail didn’t reveal too many secrets about its championship status. It was a delightful afternoon, with Nicholas sharing the fascinating history of snail racing.

Next, they headed to Norwich Pride, where Nick and Andy interviewed several people, including the brilliant Nick O’Brien, the mastermind behind the event, along with Kris Smith, the writer and producer of Diamond Dogs. They learned about the history of Pride in Norwich and met incredible individuals eager to discuss the movement. The day was vibrant, filled with diamonds, tiaras, and plenty of bling!

Their adventures continued with the eccentric Siv Sears, who leads quirky walking tours around Norwich, exploring the city’s hidden gems through storytelling. Siv has plans to launch themed tours in the future, including “Her Story” and “His Story.”

This action-packed week of filming concluded at Taylor’s in Fakenham, featuring a hilarious rendition of “I Want to Break Free” by Queen. Even director Kris Smith starred in it; he’s a good actor, our Kris, but don’t tell him I said that! James, the proprietor, made a cameo appearance, all adding to the craziness that is 2GoMadinNorfolk.

A silly, silly busy week!

But the whole of series 3 now in the can.. And It will be with you in September!!

EXHIBITION IN NORFOLK..

On 16th July, Nick unveiled his exhibition at Fakenham Frameworks, showcasing a retrospective of rock art photography alongside his Dark Art collection. The gallery owner was enthusiastic about presenting Nick’s work, which challenges conventions, particularly in relation to men’s mental health and the often-taboo themes of suicide and loss.

The opening night attracted a varied audience of industry professionals, friends, family, and art enthusiasts, all eager to engage with the artworks. The exhibition, which ran until 27th July 2025, has been met with positive responses from visitors.

In addition to the exhibition, Nick seized the opportunity to connect with a broader audience through interviews on Alex Lewczuk’s South Side Broadcasting and Lee Williams’ podcast for CMR Nashville, reaching out to his American fan base. He discussed the inspiration behind his Dark Art and the narratives woven into each piece, making the evening a celebration of both creativity and community.

You should have been there!!

It was the first time that I had ever shown a collection in Norfolk. I thought it would be a nice introduction to me and what I do.

It went very very well.

14 DAYS AND IT’S IN THE CAN!

Yeah that’s right!

After a straight 14 days on location at various places throughout Norfolk, it’s done.
What a fantastic time, fantastic crew, fantastic laughs but totally dog shit weather for most of the time.
The new series of 2GO MAD IN NORFOLK is finished!

It’s been a lot of late nights, early mornings and a hell of a lot of miles driven. This series will be even better than the last.

We do have to tell you, that we did slightly venture over the border into Suffolk, but when you see the show you hopefully will understand why.

It was totally worth the diversion.

Make sure you keep watching!!

I would also like to welcome the new members of the crew Kris Smith; Cameraman, and Steve Knight; Cameraman and Darren Joy; Sound.

Very much looking forward to starting production on SERIES 3.

Coming real soon to a TV near YOU!

BUYING TIME! IT’S IN THE CAN…

Well, after nearly 3 and a bit months working on the feature film ‘Buying Time’, it’s now done!

I was commissioned towards the end of last year to shoot all the behind-the-scenes still images for the film which is due for release sometime mid summer this year. There’s some great news to follow.

The images from the project has turned out to be such a strong collection that after various meetings with a production company ATurn Films, we’ve all decided to produce a fine art coffee table book that will be published through elliottstudios publishing to co inside with the film when it goes on general release in the summer.

Very much to my surprise it turned out I ended up having quite a big part in it, which I didn’t know at the time when we started the project back in November/December 2023.

Here,s just few of the images shot over the last 3/4 months.

So should I receive a telephone call from the Broccoli family, with the possibility of becoming the next James Bond, as I know they are looking I think you’ll find that the stories on here may actually have a bit of a different theme.

lol!!!!

Could be a career move!!

It’s Rock n’ Roll…

WE STARTED EARLY…

Well!

We had initially decided to start filming the new shows of the new series in early Spring, but this last weekend saw us being able to get the crew back together to shoot the first program of 2Go Mad In Norfolk.

We were invited along to the very first event of its kind, the Hunstanton Gin and Food Festival taking place on Sunday, March 17th. What a great place to start. The weather was totally against us, heavy rain, very grey and chilly at times but we think we managed to get a really exciting and informative show totally recorded.

A lot more to come very soon with a lot more silliness, some great laughs and we meet some lovely people along the way.

Keep watching!!

Check out a few of the shots from the day.

Looking forward to a lot more to come. We’re gonna move the line this time.

BRAND NEW SERIES STARTS IN THE SPRING…

That’s right, we’re coming back!!

With a brand new series that starts filming in the Spring and after such a successful run on Amazon Prime, the production company approached me and my cohost, Andy Blithe to see if we would be interested in making some more programmes.

And guess what we said? It was a big yes, and we’re looking forward very much to filming these throughout this year 2024. So make sure you keep watching all the social media and obviously this press site for more news coming real soon.

This time we’re gonna try and be even more ambitious than we were in the past three shows, it’s gonna be a great gig!!!

24 HOURS IN DEVON…

Well, Devon! It’s a bloody long way from Norfolk…

After receiving a call a few weeks earlier from my American agent, Lee Williams, about a new project with a dear colleague of his and mine. Alan West is a guy that I first met in Nashville in 2010. And he was putting together this new show that will be touring from the spring next year here in the UK.

I was asked to shoot some promo shots for the show on the day they were filming and promo VT that will accompany the promo shots leading up to the tour and beyond. It turns out that a theatre had been hired in a sleepy place in Devon called Honiton.

Setting up early in the day….

It turns out that it was a 9 am call time so I decided to leave Norfolk around about 12.30pm the day before after a 7 1/2 hour trip. I managed to find myself in Devon that evening.

Arriving at theatre around 8 am the next day, I found myself in the midst of what turned out to be a really exciting and enjoyable day. The show is titled ‘A Country Music Songbook’ and will be showcasing some of Alan‘s favourite and traditional Country songs representing the years that he has had in the business.

The show will be releasing dates in the spring of 2024. So make sure you keep tuning in to find out whereabouts they’re going to be and when you can see them.

A Country Music Song Book… The Band.

A total of nearly 800 miles from Norfolk to Devon in just under 24 hours.

Ah well! It’s Rock n’ Roll!!

Back in the Studio at SirenFM!

Finally after nearly a 3 year break, due to the on going pandemic issues with the dreaded Covid, the last time I was in at Siren, I was making the 55th Sound and Nick’s Vision Radio Show. This last week I was invited back to the SirenFM Studios as a guest to talk about the forthcoming premiere of the documentary “Nick Elliott The Story So Far.’’

The launch of the film, with a very special VIP premiere is to be held at The Forum, Norwich on Saturday May 20th with Alex Lewzcuk being on that very exclusive guest list. He decided that we needed to have a chat live on air on his Mid Week Drive Show hosted by Alex each Wednesday Evening on the station.

We were joined by a a few special guests while tasting some hand made environmentally friendly chocolate, along with interviews and chats with a few of the regulars from around the globe.

It was great to get back into a proper studio again after such a long time. I do think that Zoom has it’s place when doing interviews over a long distance or internationally. But you just can’t beat live radio.

Copy of the new book “From Nothing to Kings Lynn in 30 Days”

Nick’s new book “From nothing to Kings Lynn in 30 days“ is hot off the press from elliottstudios publishing.

This 100 page commissioned book, depicts a pictorial journey of a young man’s struggle to get his race car to the start line for his very first race meet, held at the Trackstar Raceway in Kings Lynn West Norfolk. The project took just two months for Nick to complete and the result is another fine art publication triumph.

Signing of the 10 copies of the new publication.

“ It was a total pleasure doing a one off project like this, it took me right back to my days of motorsport and reminded me very much of my own racing days.”

JD WITH JP

Nick has been out on location recently, doing what he does best. Armed with his camera and mask, Nick was out and about with Jon ‘Loser’ Peach to continue his pictorial rockumentary.

Great Yarmouth was the location of a home from home photographic shoot for Jon Peach. Nick spent the day creating magic at the singer/songwriters home, producing images of Jon relaxing in his surroundings during some valuable downtime before his return to the stage in a show stopping performance streamed live from the Theatre Royal Norwich on Thursday 13th May.

The shoot comprised of candid and set shots in and around Jon and Sarah‘s home which provided a wonderful backdrop to the finished images.

“I spent today with Jon and his partner Sarah at their home in Great Yarmouth. It was very successful, and very productive. We have added many more shots to the rockcumentary. Thank you Jon and Sarah for making me feel so welcome.” Nick Elliott
